Museum quarter ’s-Hertogenbosch

‘Pluriform project’ seems an understatement for this assignment: the extension of the Brabants museum, the restoration of the 18th-century palace and the renovation of the wing built by Wim Quist in 1987, the new development for the Stedelijk Museum Den Bosch and the renovation of the Registry Office from 1903.

A smart move is the new passage way which makes it possible to take a shortcut from one building to the other. The glass corridor offers a view of the beautiful palace garden, the heart of the complex. The vistas introduced by Quist in his expansion, have been extended. From the Museumkwartier, the visitor has via countless windows and open corners a view of the surrounding streets and alleys. The complex is thus firmly anchored in the city center.
