Members of the BNA: Shocked and solidary with Ukraine

Members of the BNA who are active in Russia and Ukraine are especially touched by personal affliction and shocked about the aggressive actions of Putin. This is shown in a first call from the BNA.

The personal affliction is in solidary with the employees of the offices in question, both Ukrainian and Russian, seeing what this situation means for them. Some clients in the war area are heavily affected. BNA fully supports the statements of our members of indignation and loathing towards Putins’ warmongering. The primary care is for their own people in Eastern Europe on sight as well as for the people in the offices here.

Members such as KCAP, LEVS, UNStudio and MVRDV share that they will phase out of the affected areas, pause signing any new contracts in the near future, or freezing all projects as effect of immediately.

BNA fully supports the architectural offices and the broad felt outrage, repulsion and anger in the design world. “What Putin is doing goes against any sense of civilisation, cooperation and progress. It is horrible. Putin needs to be stopped.” – Chair Valk and director Schoorl, on behalf of BNA.
